The young man is said to be behind a series of thefts in the Asiakwa community
Residents of Asiakwa in the Eastern Region have reportedly mobilised to apprehend a suspected thief accused of terrorising the community with his nefarious activities.
According to reports, the yet-to-be-identified young man is alleged to be behind the theft of phones and other valuables in the town.
A video shared by Sikaofficial on X on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, shows a mob gathered in front of what is believed to be the suspect’s residence.

The video also shows some mob members retrieving valuables, including mobile phones and a stash of clothes, said to have been taken from the suspect’s home.
The suspect is seen looking battered as his alleged loot was being brought out.
Police provide reason for Abronye’s arrest
“This is the boy alleged to be a thief; he has been apprehended and beaten. It is a pity. You can see the items around him; those are all phones he has allegedly stolen in the Asiakwa community. He has been severely beaten,” a voice narrating in the video is heard saying.
