Afful has been jailed for death threats and inciting violence during a TikTok livestream
Popular TikTok personality, David Afful, widely known as Kwame Nkrumah II, who threatened to kill the President, Members of Parliament, and other government officials has been captured being conveyed in a mobile prison van otherwise known as Black Maria to the Nsawam Medium Security Prison, in the Eastern Region, to begin his prison 7-month sentence.
A video shared by GHOne on Friday, September 19, 2025, showed Afful boarding the Black Maria in handcuffs in the presence of police officers.

The Ghana Police Service arrested Afful for issuing death threats and inciting violence against the president, legislators, and government appointees during a TikTok livestream.
He was apprehended at his hideout near Kasoa Market around 2:20 pm on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
Afful appeared before an Accra Circuit Court, where he pleaded guilty to charges of threat of death and offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace.

Following his arrest, the police emphasised, “While it upholds freedom of speech, it will not tolerate statements that incite violence, insecurity, or public disorder.”
