A 36-year-old farmer and mother of two conspired with her boyfriend to murder her husband over a cassava farm at Akim Asuosu, a farming community in the Birim Central District of the Eastern Region.
Efua Sunka 36 and Kwaku Ehia 56 after the dastardly act reportedly fled the area and went to Nsabaa in the Agona East District of the Central Region but were trailed and arrested by police upon a tip off.
According to the police, the deceased Desmond Kojo Akwamu 40 cultivated a cassava farm with the first accused but after sometime there were disagreements in the marriage so he left the town hoping on his return peace could prevail.
Unknown to him after his departure, his wife went in for the second accused as her boyfriend with both engaging in amorous sexual relationship.
He was reported to have had wind of it and refused to visit his home but stayed with a friend in the same community known to the wife and her new boyfriend.
Police sources indicate that he decided to visit the cassava farm to harvest some of the produce for consumption but the new lovebirds met him at the farm and confronted him leading to a heated argument.
Desmond Kojo Akwamu was butchered and left to die at the farm by the two who immediately fled the town after news of his death went viral.
The case is currently being handled by the Oda Divisional Police Command.
