  The guy was smart enough to not steal chicken or plantain, for that would have fetched him many years in prison. The question that you posed is a very good one, for the court shouldn't have shown him any leniency if he did not disclose how he acquired those fake notes. Even with this lenient sentence for such a serious crime, the guy will likely quietly receive the Agradaa treatment of a ridiculous sentence reduction after serving just a few months of his sentence.

Ghana we should get serious. our judges must use their commonsense in judgements. such a serious crime deserves 20 plus years. AND WHY'S THE COURT MOT INTERESTED IN HOW HE DID THE FORGERIES? WHO HELPED HIM? OR HE DID IT ALONE? ETC. A Nigeria, or USA court would give a more comprehensive sentence

  @ Ghanaboy,the jail term is too small but at least the 5 years is enough to teach him a lesson to learn some sense and to serve as deterrent to others.
