Two brothers, Yaw Clinton, 23, and Kofi Nsowa, 19, were stabbed to death at Sefwi Akrofu, near Sefwi Boako in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality of the Western North Region, after an alleged attacker mistakenly identified one of them.

According to a report by adomfmonline.com, the area’s assemblyman, Thomas Nsia, popularly known as “Pogba,” made this known in an interview on March 26, 2026.

"Acting on information from peers that an unidentified man in a green Pragyia had gone to Sankore for that purpose, the suspect and a group of associates travelled to Akrofu in search of him," the report stated.

According to the assemblyman, the intended target reportedly fled with the woman before the suspect arrived at the scene.

"Upon reaching Akrofu, the suspect allegedly saw Yaw Clinton driving a green Pragyia and, believing him to be the target, confronted him. Armed with a knife concealed under a long-sleeved shirt, the suspect attacked Yaw Clinton, stabbing him multiple times until he collapsed," it noted.

In a bid to protect his brother, Kofi Nsowa intervened but was also stabbed repeatedly.

Both victims were rushed to the Boako Clinic, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation into the incident.
