Six suspects accused of carrying out a daylight robbery at a gold jewellery shop in Adabraka were on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, remanded into custody after pleading not guilty to charges when they appeared in court.

The suspects, who denied the charges, were remanded as proceedings continue.

In a video shared by GHOne TV on Facebook, the men are seen being escorted under tight security and directed into a Black Maria, the police van used to transport accused persons.

The footage captured the tense moment as the suspects were being ushered into the vehicle one after the other under heavy security presence.

The suspects are alleged to have stolen GH¢400,000 in cash and 12.5 kilograms of gold valued at GH¢14.3 million during the attack.

The case stems from a daylight robbery at a gold jewellery shop in Adabraka on November 2, 2024, where the suspects allegedly stormed the premises and made away with cash and gold.

The brazen attack, carried out in broad daylight, shocked residents and business owners in the area.

Police investigations later led to the arrest of the suspects, who were subsequently charged and arraigned before the court.

During their first appearance, the accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The court then remanded them into custody to allow further investigations.
