A man believed to be in his thirties has reportedly been killed after an angry mob attacked him in Nkawkaw, in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region, following allegations of theft.

Reports from adomonline.com indicate that the yet-to-be-identified man was accused of stealing and allegedly threatening residents with a knife, which triggered panic and anger in the community.

Eyewitnesses say the confrontation began when locals challenged him over the alleged theft. The situation is said to have escalated after he allegedly pulled out a knife during the encounter.

That development reportedly angered some young people in the area, who then attacked him.

He sustained serious injuries in the assault and was later confirmed dead at the scene.
