Man hospitalised after allegedly being stabbed in skull

A violent dispute between two commercial motorcycle riders over a passenger has left a man stabbed in the skull and currently receiving specialist treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

He was allegedly stabbed in the skull with a motorcycle key while attempting to intervene.

According to an adomonline.com report on July 24, 2026, the incident, which took place at Jasikan in the Oti region, reportedly escalated when one of the riders allegedly used a motorcycle key as a weapon, driving it into his colleague's skull during the struggle.

"The victim was subsequently rushed for medical attention before being referred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for specialist care due to the severity of the injury," the report stated.

The injured man was initially taken to a nearby health facility before being transferred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for specialist treatment.

Meanwhile authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and take appropriate legal action against individuals found responsible.
