Court remands suspects in immigration officer murder case again

The Adabraka Circuit Court has once again remanded Bright Aweh aka Highest Bright and Thomas Zigah into prison custody following the high-profile murder trial of Ghana Immigration Service officer Stephen King Amoah.

‎In a latest update shared on X on July 29, 2026, video footage from the court showed the handcuffed suspects being escorted into police vehicles after the hearing.

‎Also, the case has been adjourned to August 19, 2026, pending cybersecurity investigations.

‎Stephen King Amoah disappeared in July 2025 after reportedly meeting Aweh at Ashongman Estates over a financial dispute involving large cash transfers documented in WhatsApp chats.

‎His partially burnt body was later discovered in a drain near Aboum Junction.

Aweh and his accomplice were subsequently arrested and charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

The case, which has seen multiple adjournments for DNA, autopsy, and digital evidence, continues to draw attention as the case progresses.
