Man arrested for allegedly shooting wife dead after domestic dispute

A 35-year-old man, identified as Kaaku Kofi, has been arrested by the police for allegedly shooting his 32-year-old wife, Naado Adyemang, dead at Fulakuma, a community near Chamba in the Nanumba North Municipality of the Northern Region.

The incident occurred on October 23, 2026, following a domestic dispute between the couple, according to a report by citinewsroom.com.

The suspect allegedly accused his wife of infidelity and was unhappy with her frequent disagreements with his first wife.

The deceased had reportedly threatened to leave the marriage during their disagreements.

On that fateful day, she is said to have had another confrontation with the first wife and indicated her intention to leave the marriage.

The suspect allegedly shot her in the left side of her chest in the early hours of the following morning, killing her instantly.

The Assembly Member for the Sogon No. 2 Electoral Area, Bifam Janbebu Solomon, said the matter was reported to the police, leading to the suspect's arrest.

The police have also confirmed the arrest, indicating that the suspect has been remanded into custody and is expected to reappear before the court on November 9, 2026.
