There was terror on the Legon highway Thursday late afternoon, when two armed robbers shot a middle-aged man in his car, bolting with an unspecified amount of money.
According to eyewitnesses, the robbers who were on motorbikes tailed the man after he visited a forex bureau, possibly to engage in some transactions and attacked him while in traffic.
An eyewitness who narrated the incident to GhanaWeb stated that one of the robbers shot the front light of the victim to distract him, after which the second shot was aimed at him while he was driving.
They quickly grabbed a bag believed to contain the man’s money and sped off in the glare of passers-by and other road users on the road.
The injured man was quickly rushed to the hospital by passers-by.
