The Quality Health Africa (QHA), a non-profit organization based in USA and Ghana, is organising its maiden annual fundraising reception at the Ghana Embassy in Washington on June 27.
The event is meant to garner support to improve the quality of Africa’s healthcare system by renovating old hospitals to provide comprehensive, affordable quality care to those in need as well as build cancer screening centres to increase early detection and immediate treatment of cancer.
These objectives form part of QHA’s mission which took off last year in Bosuso, Ghana at their first annual QHA Health fair where over 800 patients were screened and educated on cancer awareness and the importance of regular testing and periodic screening.
The President and founder of Quality Health Africa, Mr. Erwin Boateng called on the African diaspora to “join the Pan African vision to build a better Africa that is truly independent and self-sufficient in education, investments, development and a Quality Healthcare System”.
Mr. Boateng added that the objective of Quality Health Africa is to reach out to the whole of Africa and not just Ghana so as to build medical facilities and provide quality health for all.
He invited all to join hands and make the project a success for Africa
