The way you have described the EC is pathetic. Two times in the history of Ghana, the same EC headed by the same Dr. Kwadjo Afari Gyan and most of the officers still at post declared NPP winners of the election. On those two occasions you never saw any fault with the EC, Now the EC declared NDC winners of the December 2012 and election and there is everything wrong with the EC.
By the way, you have written without hearing from the EC, nor the first accused JDM yet you believe that for justice to be done the SC must declare elections null and void and declare Akufo Addo President of Ghana . Otherwise according to you there will be no justice and therefore no peace. Common sense would pevailed on you to hear the side of the EC and JDM first befodre coming out with any conclusions. Of course you have already believed that whatg will come from the EC and JDM will be false.
Your posting this to the International Donors and partners will have no bearing. For internaltional obervers of the elections saw them as free, fair and transparent.

But what I really care about is the absolute peace and tranquility of Ghana, thus I have refrained from making any comments about the elections. I'm really disappointed with the comments being made by political branches from England, USA etc, and especially the one above. We should be circumspect about our utterances-inflamatory statements or acts that can plunge our dear country into chaos. You live in US and you know no one is guilty until proven so. So please kindly hold your horses, and wait for the verdict from the supreme court, until then, all the statements being made by NPP are mere allegations. I always wonder why we Africans jump to hasty conclusions depending on our political aisles. And we have permitted ourselves to be divided by politicians on tribal lines that we hate each other. None of these political parties is out there for our benefits. All these insults we are hurling against each other, how many of us stand to gain? The only comfort we might procure is probably the party we support is in power. That is all. Please fellow Ghanaians we shoud not allow politicians to ruin our country for us. If NPP comes to power they don't have any magic wand, and neither NDC. If we are politially matured, we should be voting for a third party, like we did in Canada during the last elections. The majority of ghanaeians live in slums and abject poverty and has no understanding of the real issues affecting their lives. as a matter of fact, the majority believe god will provide for them, and that politics is just a game they play every four years or so. see for me i blame all of this on stupid religion. this idea of god that has weakened so many of my people's brains by making them say things like "god provide not man" and "god will punish them" has given curtain people a free ticket to do as they wish. well tell my people that, it is people who make this society better for all to live in. unfortunately those people we call politicians are also the thieves in our societies and thats why you people continue to pray to god while they make plans to spend their money. thats why the gutters are kiiling ur children while they send their kids to "heaven" for school(oh and they also have international schools in ghana made for them only), that is why the average ghanaian go to church five days a week and the average politician have five cars, girlfriends, houses. the list goes on, and my heart cries for my people who continue to believe in heaven when they allow a few to enjoy heaven on earth.

Heaping up insults will not help and if you are looking for people who have expressed misgivings about the Ghana elections, why don't you look at the list of dignitaries inside and outside Ghana who have called to congratulate John Mahama on his election? They are among the International community an the foreign donors you have appealed to. They are not on your side so where do you go?

Do you know something? NPP has every right to go to Court with their grievances and they will be heard based on merits. You should however note that the whole world is watching and in the end I hope you will be matured enough to accept the verdict if you are vanquished.

Please no threats. You live outside and no harm may come to you if there is an insurrection. Ghanaians have paid dearly for this peace and they need to enjoy it.

An observation though; are we talking about the same Afari-Gyan who was the EC for the 2000 elections and the 2004 elections and a couple of elections before that? So how did he become a deamon overnight? Do you know something, the NPP of USA? You are haunted by your past! Do you remember the 1951 elections during which Kwame Nkrumah won? Do you remember Barffour Akoto and his stand on that election? It looks like that history haunts you and the NPP. You are conditioned not to accept any election results if you do not win. That is the case. Go back into history. Any time you have lost an election you have cried foul. . . And do you know what would have happened if you have had your way in 1951? Ghana could have remained in slavery even in 2013! Nkrumah, bless his memory, stood up and will not let you drown our beloved and that saved us and marched us into independence.

I am sure you all there are proud of Ghana for achieving its independence the time it did and the manner it did it. Your guys nearly made that impossible.

We are civilised and we are sophisticated; we can decipher between a sham and what is real. Only 2 regions went along with the sham and even there, take a look again, the NDC won more than 30% of the votes in your strong hold. I am sure you are not saying that those votes in the Ashanti and eastern regions were also stolen. So if the NDC was winning about 40% in your strong hold and you are barely registering elsewhere, how do you expect to win?

You see this election was lot at the registration. Go check the number of registered voters on the books in the Ashanti and Eastern regions and compare them with the actual votes counted in 2008 and you will understand why you had no chance of winning but all your money, and intellectuals and academics could not tell you that simple fact before the vote.

You have a lot of work to do if you really want to be seen as a viable alternative and not a tribal gang. You must start now.

The EC explained that it had not contracted any private company to transmit any form of data on its behalf. the EC uses only fax machines at all of its offices to receive results from the various consituencies. There is nothing like typing or whever form being described by the Israeli company, STL.

Fax signals are photocopies of the original signals that are transmitted. There is no technology to alter a fax signal on its way to its final destination. Yet NPP claims this is what was done by the Israeli company to the election results at the polling centres.
At any rate, all the parties were given direct photocopies and any alterations can be checked.
Fact is, NPP is so obsessed with winning the 2012 elections that when the lost, they are showing stress syndrome. This is why even after going to court, they would not allow the judges to decide but they want to go on demonstration. Is the demonstration for the Supreme Court or what?
They are rather making it easy for the judges to dismiss them because it is impossible for NPP to intimidate these judges.

I can't truly believe the NPP or their ThugGoons is putting Ghanaians through this Nana Addo Nonsense. I have been here since October and been documenting happening-instances and the 2012 Ghana Elections would have Gone down as one of the best Ever recorded by our Electoral Processes were it not for its alleged vote count rigging. I spoke to people from one polling station to the next, and everybody seemed content with the process though some negative sentiments and opinions were expressed. There is still Calm Here and in my opinion, the results and the announcement of NDC's John Dramani Mahama as the winner of the 2012 Ghana Presidential Elections, sits well with over 90% of interviewed Voters. Also people should check how many seats were won in the parliamentary elections by each party when conjectures are being made.

They should wait for their day in court instead of resorting to writing such an explosive article. Where was this group when NDC challenged NPP in 2004 in a similar incident?
NPP should know that the people of Ghana have spoken and they have decided to give the mandate to President Mahama and to reinforce that emphatically 8 regions out of 10 regions overwhelmingly voted for the presiding president. NPP's rhetoric will not change the will of the majority of Ghanaians. NPP should rather take stock of what caused their party to lose in the elections. They should also know that Akans are not the only group/tribe ordained to rule Ghana… which happens to be the core belief of the NPP party.
Ghanaians will always elect a president irrespective of ethnicity, creed, educational status, sex and color. By this the electorate in Ghana has made a bold statement which clearly indicates that Ghana belongs to not a single tribe but rather, all tribes.
The Ghanaian electorate will continue to educate other parties that ascribe to such dangerous and treacherous tendencies in the name of a united Ghana!

The same political immaturity and intransigence was manifested in the late 1950's and early 1960's when Nkrumah and the CPP trounced Busia/Dankwa's UP at the ballots. They took to grenade-throwing, assasination attempts, and various forms of political intrigue that made Ghana ungovernable. Who can blame Nkrumah for resorting to dictatorial martial rule when you have to deal with such intransigent, arrogant power-hungry fools who do not know how to accept electoral defeat?
