AT this point, such organizations are great on paper but at the end of the day you need smaller groups of Ghanaians who are willing to joint forces to risk money in order to start enterprises in Ghana. The dream that somehow, you are going to get hired from abroad and have a lucrative job in Ghana with estate house, car and big parties every weekend is a fantasy. Prepare to sweat, toil and lose some money before you attain your dream life in Ghana. Job fairs are not going to make it. Save up and start your own business in Ghana.

To be honest, Ghana works if you have the start up foreign currency to supply your own power and in some cases, your own water. If that is in place, you have a competitive advantage. However, most Ghanaians simply are not prepared to spend that type of money. As a result, for every successful return there are multiple failures. Without, substantial funds one will find themselves in big trouble. It is good to have positive stories but we should not falsely hype people up.

I am afraid the present poor economic management of the recent finds in oil and gas in Ghana right now - this predicament does not make returning to work and live in the country such an appealing proposition for Ghanaian-diasporans returning from say USA or Europe. Unless the current economic climate in the country is improved dramatically returnees would find it difficult to settle in Ghana under the p oor management of NDC government.
