I agree with you. The fact that we should consult Euro people on every issue is rediculous. Consulting them on scientific and technological issues is legitimate for obvious reasons. But consilting them on political and social issues only belittles us further.

Euro people have their own problems. They have been struggling with their own severe economic, and consequential political and social problems for years. Some of the Euro countries have unemployment rates as high as 24%.

Have the Euro people approached any Ghanaian to help them? Why, then, can't Ghanaians resolve an election problem if, indeed, there is any problem at all? Such a petition can only come from self-disrespecting Ghanaians living in Euroland.

The NPP brought the suit and I suppose it is versed in the workings of the Ghanian legal system before it embarked on their action. Everybody has the right to disagree with somebody else's opinion but this should not be a lincense to insult.
We all have the right to voice our opinions but this right can be excercised without been rude, abusive or insulting.The right to disagree like all other rights is limited by the right of others not to be insulted. Hence every right goes with responsibility which entails a medicum of civility and self-respect.
Is it our standing of the democracy we have in Ghana? If it is YES then it is time for ALL of US to go back and learn the ABC of Democracy.

The EU has its representative in Ghana and has regular briefings on socio-economic and political development in Ghana, so they would not require any concerned citizens to tell them what is happening.

Though this group claims to be non political, the contents of the statement prove otherwise. They have clearly taken one side and cannot claim to be independent. Again, if they claim to have confidence in the SC why are they calling on the EU to ensure that the petition is dealt with fairly?

Though I agree with them that the delay in hearing and deciding on the petition is disincentive to investment and not good for Ghana, the group cannot claim not have party political motives. The inclusion of the UK representative who is a well known NPP operative gives their hidden political agenda away.

Ghana is a sovereign country, able and capable of resolving the election petition fairly and peacefully without any outside intervention from the EU. As a result, the EU will treat this petition with a pinch of salt. The petitioners perhaps do not appreciate how international relations operate, especially, how international organisations, regional bodies and sovereign states relate to each other. For example, before Catherine Ashton can act on this petition, all members states should agree that the situation in Ghana regarding the presidential elections merits EU's assistance to Ghana's SC in resolving it. Such a decision would be opposed by Britain for various reasons. Ghana does not need the EU to meddle in her judiciary, particularly the independence of the SC.

This petition is aimed at damaging Ghana's international image and her democratic credentials and it's misguided. If Nana Akufo Addo thinks that he will not get justice through the SC he would have appealed to the west for assistance himself.

At least you affirm to the fact that they want peaceful co-existence of all Ghanaians and no cheating and violence and wantom dicipation of public funds as is the daily occurence in Ghana under the watch of NDC. We are not (Ghanaians) interested in tribalist Politics that most Northerners and voltaians are fond of agitating. It has long been their internal behaviour and now ,thanks to NDC, they want to bring it to the National Derby. Ghanians in Europe first have to learn and study the Judicial , Polical systems in whereever they are, before writing. Ghana will never be a colonised Nation, no matter what. The Ghanaian Judicial do not need the EU to dictate to them. The EU observers has already regonised the Election in Ghana 2012 as free and fair, so where is the problem? Anyone who bribes his/her way thinks he/ is better than those at home, NO! Think before you write.
