I also wonder if the judiciary in Ghana know about this principle. Otherwise they would've charged many people with contempt of court, which carries a very still sentence in countries that are genuinely governed by the rule of law.

These so called citizens are NPP supporters who, being oblivious of the fact that all observers national and international of the 2012 Ghanaian elections saw them as free and fair. Now all the so called concerned citizens of Ghana want is that unless the Supreme Court Justices overturn the declaration of the Ec that Mahama won the elections then the SC is not fair, is not firm and cannot be trusted. What these fools miss is that if for no serious reasons the SC overturns the EC declaration of the winner of the 2012 elections in Ghana, the NDC would take things lying down. If NPP wants war NDC is prepared to give them war.

The groups appears not to even know how to address the Chief Justice. Observing protocol is such matters is very important. She is not simply, Madam but "Her Lordship or Ladyship the Chief Justice".

The group also appears to be unaware of how international relations work. Ghana is a sovereign state and UK should not interfere in the affairs of Ghana, especially the judiciary. The Justices are very aware that the whole world is watching them and their final decision would be a subject of global analysis and debate. For this reason, I believe the nine Justices will do their best to be fair to all parties to strengthen democracy and the rule of law in Ghana, as well as make Ghana proud.

I support the call for the petition to be disposed of on time but the Supreme Court does not need interference from UK to do that.

The colonial mentality of this group is self defeatist and would not serve any purpose except gain some publicity.

Many people in Ghana have been commenting on this case since it went to courts, including people who have degrees in Law, and no one from the Bench has come out to tell the public not to do that. Does it mean that the judges in the Supreme Court do not know that?. I would like to hear from them.

This so called "Concerned Ghanaians against Electoral Fraud (COGEF) based in UK" does not represent the view of Ghanaians in UK.

Ghanaians in UK are wise enough to know that cases before the supreme court of land should be left with judges to deal with without any interference.

Moreover it can be observed from the letter that this is a group of people who have their own parochial interest as to which political party they wish could have won the election.

Indeed if this was an open letter to the Chief Justice, it has been purported to be, the content of it should have been devoid of partisan but it isn't the issue here.

Ghanaians who are living in UK know how it is like to live in a society where the rule of law is respected and therefore will not indulge in issues such as this.

Of course every Ghanaian irrespective of where they live will definitely have their fear if groups such COGEF will not stop interfering in matters that are brought before the nation's supreme court.

Election irregularities did not start in Ghana and will not end in Ghana either. It takes a leader who has the interest of the nation and the people in his or hear heart concede a defeat.

Please allow the judges to do their work without any intimidation.

How dare these idiots going by the name COGEF try to tell the SC what to do?

How dare they pretend to speak of the 'Ghanaian community/residents in UK'?

This is a desperate attempt by NPP to put pressure on the SC, as if they could.

The Chief Justice and Supreme Court are experienced judges who will not countenance such rubbish, and will treat it with the contempt it deserves.

Let these COGEF simpletons have a good night's rest, think soberly, and call off the demo.

What purpose will it serve? The SC is certainly not going to be swayed by such tosh.

Those intending to go on demo on a cold, wet day would do well to go to work and use their wages to do something useful in Ghana. There are schools to be built for the children studying under trees, boreholes are needed to provide potable water in the rural areas, medical facilities are desperately needed, the 'dumso' problem could be addressed with generators and solar power. If those intending to go on demo use their wages for the day to provide some of these amenities to selected communities, they would ameliorate the situation in our land and obviate the need to go on demo.

Eeeeeeheeeeeen, I forgot to remind the Concerned Ghanaians against Electoral Fraud (COGEF) that there is another fraud case pending at the high court concerning Nana's certificates. As they happened to be in the UK, they should please check from the Middle Temple and circulate their findings to all the offices as done to their present pertition. As a teaser, Nana says his certificate is missing so they rather ask for a duplicate or his transcripts.The court will be even be satisfied if they can get a group picture of Nana and his law school colleagues. We shall better appreciate their efforts in this direction instead of the present baloney. Bye
