  Ghana is a sovereign country and has the right to make its own laws. There are many countries around the world where if one acquires the citizenship of another country, he/she automatically loses the citizenship of his/her country of birth. Others also have it that, if you are born in their country, except your parents are citizens of that country, you will not be given citizenship.

  My argument has always been that Ghana government has no right to take my citizenship away from me without reason. The reason can only be that it benefits Ghana and nothing else. So far no one has shown that taking my citizenship from me benefits anyone but the politicians. This has always been my argument. Some in comments to my writings have inaccurately made arguments about the US policy on allegiance and citizenship. That's what prompted me to post this so that I can point people to the accurate policy of the US on this subject.
  In a visit to Ghana in 1978, I ate at a restaurant and when I got the bill, they had added taxes. When I asked if Ghana is now collecting taxes, the guy told asked me if I don't pay taxes in a restaurant in the US. There are many examples where the government or government official has compared Ghana to the US. You probably have done the same in some areas. Don't be baffled any longer, Mr. Charles A.

First of all, I feel sorry for you and your family for selling your rights to another country, shame on your father for that, and for you visit the library and learn something and stop been last in your class, get rid of the video games and learn don't waste your citizenship.
