I think the leadership, in collaboration with the Deputy Ambassador, should have called a unity meeting of all executives of the Branches ahead of the congress to thrash out their differences.

I also noticed the modality of events at the congress were not transparent enough as some branches were taken unawares. There seems to be a clique within the organization that seems to control the affairs without recourse to other members.

In party politics, is numbers that matter. Therefore, trying to sideline some members as if they don't matter is not the right approach. At the end of the day, all hands would be needed on deck to move the party forward.

There should be a clear mode of accepting new Branches and their role at congresses. The practice of registering new Branches behind closed doors a few days to congress and allowing such branches to fully participate and vote is tearing the organization apart. The practice started a few years ago during the reign of Mr. Cobby Boahene. Some delegates were surprised at the presence of some new and unknown branches at the congress in DC who voted massively for Mr. Boahene to retain his chairmanship, even though most of the existing branches wanted him out for non-performance. He was also personally responsible for bringing in those new branches to do the bidding for him.

The same tactics was used by Dr. Agyening Boateng during the following congress. He could have used it again for a second term but this time, he sensed danger of being lynched if he tried it.

Atlanta is a very formidable branch and their input is very vital to the progress of NDC USA. History has taught us that, these fly-by-night branches that mushroom only at the time of congress, also disappear the same way when the dust settles. There is a saying that "the devil you know is better than the angel you do not know" therefore, NDC USA should do everything possible to address the concerns of the Atlanta Branch so as to bring them into the fold. A stitch in time saves nine.

By the way, I wish the newly Executives the best of luck in running the organization. I appeal to them to address these shortcomings so that when they meet in two years for another congress, the same issues wouldn't raise their ugly heads again.

These are so-called civilized people, living in America, behaving like bushmen. If someone dissents then the person becomes an enemy. How could he get personal a such to malign you? You are no longer the chairman of Atlanta ( a fact this tweep does not bother to ascertain before launcing his uncouth attacks) and even if you are, are you and your branch not entitled to express your opinion?

Now you are back try to the punisher. Now with the issue of Prof. Boateng going to Ghana, I believe he is not the first chairman to have initiate that. Two years ago Koby Boahene was no where near the congress to hand over. At list Prof did well to come and hand over. Also prof has chaired almost every meeting that was organizer here . None of you know the amount of sacrifice Prof has to pay to see this chapter today. That is why you have the gut to call for his removal. Because you Atalanta branch have no idea what he has been able to do. Shame on you guys!! If you guys want power you need to follow proper procedures not this dirty politicts and bringing NDC USA to a disrepute.
