  Public should fret about? These same people who embark on senseless demos here against the current administration, are the ones clamouring to go and show off in the country they take pleasure in 'bad-mouthing'!
  I get the impression this 'correspondent' who reports on the happenings in Toronto,has still not grasped the basics of supply and demand handed down to us by Adam Smith. Listen, tickets are available,but the folks who are complaining, are simply not too anxious to fork out the 'mullahs' to meet their desires. And who said these airlines have to offer discounts for air travels?
  Let him focus on the rampant adolescent delinquency that is going to negatively impact on the lives of these teenagers;couples engaged in needless inter or intra competitions that have caused 'frictions' in the community;and last,but not the least,the need to mend our ways,so we do not fall victim to the "prosperity-hawkers" who now outnumber genuine businessess.

Your NDC government (and all others to follow) should create a conducive environment for the airlines to find Ghana irresistible. There are travelers to Ghana all years round. Our governments don't identify, let alone solve any problem.

BOOK YOUR FLIGHT/BUT YOUR TICKET AT LEAST 7 MTHS AHEAD OF TIME AND MAKE PAYMENTS TOWARDS YOUR TICKET. FLY WITH REPUTABLE AIRLINES LIKE KLM, BA, S AFRICAN AIRLINES. BOOK EARLY AND DO UR RESEARCH. DONT WAIT TILL AFTER DEC 20 TO LEAVE. LEAVE MUCH EARLIER. THESE AIRLINES ARE TIRED OF HAVING TO DEAL WITH THE STRESS OF HOLIDAY TRAVEL, TOO MANY FLIGHTS IN THE AIR DURING THE HOLIDAY PERIOD, POSSIBLE TERRORIST ACTIVITIES ETC...   First, Christmas is a high season for flying. It's hard to get a flight anywhere....and at a great price? Are you kidding me? It's high season...supply and demand...the airlines will get top dollar for those that didn't plan ahead to book their tickets.
  
  There are seats available...but not at a low price.

So you took a chance of the price going down to $1,000 just to save $200. As the dates get closer, you will find that the price will skyrocket. It is no brainer.

  Agree with you. If the writer is correct, then the law of economics will rather come into play. Any airline who comes up with seats will charge the most expensive fare possible. "Supply and Demand"! Dream on.

  If you can't purcase the tickets at current rates then stay in your various countries.You chastize all these airlines then you come back asking for discount, hmmmm African mentality.
