Does it really matter whether you suffer colonialism under the Queen of England, or indignities, butchery and death under Jerry Rawlings, or hunger, poverty and deprivation under Mahama? Knowing what I know now and given the chance to rewind, I will chose the least of the evils - colonialism - to live a belly-full life in happiness with the square meals a day than listen to Asiedu Nketia or Kennedy Agyepong in hunger. Any one can propound any theory of freedom from colonialism but freedom is meaningless if it is not accompanied by the virtues for which nationals fight for freedom. Those virtues are lost if one idiot can just get up and take over the country for whatever he thinks. To hell with independence. This was not what our forefathers fought for.

I am ashamed to celebrate so called independence. We would have been better off still colonized
