MANY GHANAIANS ABROAD HAVE "MADE IT" BIG TIME PRACTICING THEIR PROFESSIONS AND IN VARIOUS LEGITIMATE BUSINESSES, BY NATURE GHANAIANS EXCEPT OF COURSE LOUD-MOUTHED ASANTES AND OTHER "EFUOM" AKANS, PREFER TO ENJOY THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS QUIETLY AND ON A LOW PROFILE FOR OBVIOUS REASONS.

THESE SHOULD BE THE MAIN FOCUS OF HER EXPOSE, MOT THE NEGATIVES, WHICH IS PREVALENT EVEN AMONG MANY AMERICANS.

I know an Ashanti who has about 10 different Pharmacy shops in the UK with more than necessary Pharmacist who are also Ashantis and are very quiet ad respectful. People like Jane should grow up.

The Wiseman is not so wise after all. I have heard a few Ghanaians of some radio stations spewing sheer anger about the work they do. They turn to put everybody in the same class. They speak evil about their home care (living) jobs yet they enjoy the money. There is a reason why I took that huge loan to go to school. We are all Ghanaians but there are certainly different classes and it is not define by race or tribe. Don’t hide behind your tribe or race and think you have it made. Show in your comments that you have indeed traveled and have learned something that mother Ghana will be proud of.

Let's all appreciate our differences and not forget all that we have in common. We have a duty to make Ghana a better place that it was handed to us by our forefathers and mothers. It is ok for us to inter marry and have nephews and nieces from different tribes. It is ok for us to eat different dishes made by other tribes. We make friends with other tribes. Why is it that we hide behind our little computer and spew garbage about other tribes? Yet we call Ghana a religious country. It makes my heart bleed. Our resolve to build a better Ghana for our kids are no different from the other.

Stupid people always try to make mockery of those abroad, yet, when they are no more sending money home, or have reduced, Ghana's cedi can no longer be stable. Whiles Govt. is fighting to woo people to look back home and help, you are always come up with such useless programs to disturb our minds. If you go to Spain to see 20 hustlers piled in 10sq meter room, how is that different in Ghana? Don't people sleep outside in Ghana? Why are you not reporting that? Even in our own country, people are jobless, cannnot make ends meet, sleep outside or under trees, etc. It is your mediocre, low-self-imaged and ingnorant mind that makes you to think once onboard on an airplane outside Ghana, everything should be alright with these individuals. It is news when the intent is to serve as wisdom, proverb and or cautionary tales to those Ghanaians at home eager to sell their hard earned earthly possessions to get to the "promise lands" by fair or foul means. It is not news, however, nor public service when one uses the airwaves, internet or print and other medium to take events that are uncommon to titillate people in Ghana or West Africa easily incited with fiction or half-truths from Ghanaians/Africans in the Diaspora to paint false pictures when not necessary.
The plight, welfare and or status of Africans (naturalized citizens, offspring and those yet to become citizens in their current homes of domicile) in the Diaspora are relatively no different from those on the continent of Africa especially in Sub-Saharan African countries. Those in the Diaspora threw away their morals just as much as we have done in Africa. Our families and countrymen in Africa have come to know one thing and only one thing much the same way as those families in the Diaspora and it’s about money. Families here at home do not want to know and are not interested in knowing the sources of the riches of families and friend in the Diaspora much the same way we do not care to know about the thieves and corrupt men and women masquerading as leaders in society here at home on the African continent. In the end, for every sad story narrated as the fate of an African in the Diaspora there can be a 100 fold of the same fate that has fallen or become of those here at home. What the lives of Africans in the Diaspora have become relative to lives in sub-Saharans African nations point to is a race of people who are yet to learn from history and thus continue to chase after the hopes and dreams of a people and culture that is and will be far from what is attainable on the African continent.
To that end I will always ask those of us in Africa, particularly those who advocate for Western European model of free market, democratic systems why no none Western civilized nation that adopted and currently practices the Western system of governance or business systems have not been able to better the American model which was after all an upgrade to Western European system? And to those who yearn for socialist and communist systems why African nations who accepted and practice socialism or communist ideology continue to fail?
