I opine, the reason for the vivid explanation from the columnist, Francis Tawiah might simply be, people like you, Paa Joe (UK) may find it difficult to differentiate between those born "after 1989" and "from 1990" hence his further detailed explanation in a clear statement, "that is from 1990"

So, Paa Joe(UK), journalism is all about sending a clear Information, like I have already said, to even "people like you" to understand.

It is a win-win situation. Germany will now become comfortable home for immigrants, immigrants will be proud to be Germans, like those in USA, big image of Germans in the eyes of immigrants will reduce, etc. But, this is general law. There may be sub clauses that are not explained in the news. Till now, Nigrians, old or young, can hold both passports but not Ghanaians. There are interesting reasons why this is so. Nevertheless, this is a decision in the right direction. Germany is the best country in the world and need to fearlessly make modern decisions to uplift her face in the world. I would have preferred our Govt. trains professionals in Germany and look to lure German trained Ghanaians to come home and help the nation instead communist minded Russian/Ukraine trained or corrupt and hungry USA/Britain trained Ghanaians. Technology is what moves the world and Germany is the home of technology...in all spheres. German culture supports patriotism, hardwork, quality and future thinking.

Their Ghana passports have been taken by the the Ghana Embassy in German. We Live here over 20years. We want to have both passports. We want to still have our Motherland passports . We are still Ghanaians , even though we have German passports. I know of some Nigerians immigrants here in German got dual citizenship, means , they got both German and Nigeria passports. Why can t Ghanians too?? I need an answer to this topic Please!!
