The Information Minister at the Ghana Embassy in Washington DC, Mr. Jojo Bruce Quansah, has appealed to Ghanaians to make a concerted effort to visit the various missions and embassies across the world to familiarize themselves with the work they do.

In an exclusive interview with “Prekese” on the “Ehia Ma Adwendwen” show on Virginia-based Sankofa Radio, Mr. Bruce Quansah advised anyone interested in investing back home to reach out to their embassies first before going to Ghana.

He said, “ The issuance of visas and passports is a small portion of the work we do. The trade representative at our embassy works directly with the Ghana Investment Promotion Council.

Just come to our embassy, we will sit down with you and provide you all the information you need even before you embark on the journey. We can even link you up with the sector minister in charge of that trade if you provide us with ample time and information.”

Additionally, Mr. Bruce Quansah also hinted that plans are far advanced to form a Diaspora Affairs Bureau to serve as a communication platform between Ghanaians and the Government.

“In January 2015, this initiative will kick off to document the grievances of Ghanaians in the Diaspora on issues like high vehicle importation taxes, economy and Dumsor Dumsor he added.
