The attitudes of the staff are nothing to write home about. Can you imagine this?: In March 2014, I went to pick up my passport from the Ghana Embassy in Washington, DC, having applied for a Ghana visa. When I got to the gate, the security man at the gate was fast asleep and did not care to check who was entering or exiting the Embassy. It was very shocking, to say the least!

In the regard of the above I am pleased to say that, Ghana Mission in Geneva and Ghana Embassy in Berne, Switzerland are doing well in welcoming Ghanaians. The Ambassador himself, HE Mr. Eddico did visit me when I wanted to discuss issues of interest to Ghana. I wish all Ghanaian Embassies would do same. We did organize a Ghana Day and almost all the staff of Ghana Mission and the Embassy were present to show support. I salute you the staff of these Ghanaian setups in Switzerland.

I know one officer in Europe who has disappointed us so much. An energy company from one of the EU countries wanted to use Ghana as a pilot project for Africa's solar electrification. The company's intention was to build this a free demonstration project to Africa so they sent one of their workers (A Ghanaian) to consult a Ghanaian embassy in that country on the matter. Four telephone calls (in a period of two months) to the officer concerned were answered with; "PLEASE I AM BUSY, CALL ME NEXT WEEK." The company, as a result became pissed off and diverted to project to Kenya. People in our embassies are not serving the nation but their salaries. Give as a break Mr Officer.

Response to phone calls at the embassy would be helpful since laws and requirements for travelling may change occassionally.
Not all would be able to make it in person to the embassy.
Thank you.

WHY DO ALL THESE RADIO & TV STATIONS HAVE AKAN LANGUAGE CODE NAMES?
THIS IS TYPICAL TRIBAL BIGOTRY.
AKAN LANGUAGES ARE NOT GHANA'S OFFICIAL LANGUAGE, AND CERTAINLY WILL NEVER BE.
AKAN LANGUAGES ARE NOT GHANA'S ONLY LINGUA FRANKA. THERS ARE MANY OTHER LANGUAGES SPOKEN IN GHANA, SO THESE CODE NAMES MUST REFLECT GHANA'S DIVERSITY, PERIOD.
