This is a very positive appointment. I have personally known this lady to be affable, concise and very cooperative. I am happy for her, her family and the Ghanaian Woman.

I am proud of the women Mahama is appointing, they appear intelligent and patriotic, please Mr president appoint one to lead your communications to spread your good work around the country. This is not being done enough by the NDC information personnel,and the General Secretary and his deputies including the government information apparatus, they have all gone to sleep without countering the lies being propagated by the NPP daily on the radio and TV stations.

Many women are very good and more qualified to handle high profile jobs, I suggest a woman should one day be given the chance of being a president of Ghana, just as Great Britain ever did by having with them a lady prime minister in their history, if so why not Africa?, since most of our countries were ever colonized by them; we should apply their style if possible to see the out COME.

Congratulations to Ghana, first of all, for the succession of high profile appointments to women....Chief Justice, Foreign Minister, Attorney-General, Electoral Commissioner, Permanent Representative to the UN. ..and the list goes on. This is an affirmation of our positive commitment to empowering women and recognizing them as our equals and the positivity of their inclusion.
Secondly, I doff my hat to HE President John Dramani Mahama for his appreciation of the contribution of our women to building our nation.
Thirdly, I commend Foreign Minister Tetteh for nominating and propelling the appointment of Mrs Martha Pobee, despite the push back that such merit-based appointments often generate in our society fraught with sycophancy and obsequiousness.
Fourthly, congratulations to Mrs Martha Pobee for her dedication, commitment and hard work which propelled her as a forerunner for the position.
Lastly, to the dedicated staff of the New York Mission who made it possible for her to present her credentials barely 48 hours after arrival at post.
