Plz. my advise to you is, do yourself a BIG favour and get yourself NATURALIZED and forget about Ghana passport.I have an American passport and no problem at all.Our leaders are very wicked people period.

The same story is here in Ghana also,since December that a cousin submitted a passport for renewal till date had not got it yet every day the printing machine is spoiled and one wonder`s what is really happening ?

The same problem with the Ghana Embassy in U.K since beginning of Jan,2016. Delays,delays,delays in applying for a new passport or renewal etc, no response, poor customer care,etc.
When you call, I call them to find out the progress of my passport one week fastrack passport, I was on the phone for over an hour, no response, then it divert me to a voice message to contact their helpdesk online, the worst thing is their so call online helpdesk has never been active. It shows how incompetence that they are even living in develop country like U.K. Now it is has come down to whom you know or having connections at the Embassy before you can quickly get your passport. Bringing the Ghana way of life and mentality of bribering in a develop country.

Now they want to introduce a new passport: Biometric Passport, instead of them to give a grace period of like one year, that those with old passport can still travel.

You let your anger get the best of you by the type response you posted. You could have used your post wisely to offer suggestions on how to make the system better, rather than directing invectives the president's way.

I had a similar experience 2 years ago if not worse. They gave me the same excuse that machines were broke. I forgot about the whole process and requested an American passport instead. I receive that in just a week. Useless b ... read full comment

Sad story. The short term solution is to travel with a TC. Travel certificate. That would allow you to go and come back. It used to be $40, I don't know how much it is now.

According to them, a passport would currently take about 60 days, but I don't believe it. It could be more. Just apply for a TC quickly.
