Ghana is paying six times its total oil revenue as interest on the country’s total public debt stock; that’s the computation done by former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

“We’ll reach GHC99billion by the end of this year 2015,” the Running Mate to the Flagbearer of the biggest opposition Party said in a post-budget presentation interview with Richard Sky of Citi FM.

“The interest on this debt alone is going to be six times Ghana’s oil revenue,” Dr Bawumia said.

“When we found oil, we were happy that we found oil, but the borrowing of this Government has compromised the whole oil discovery; you need six times our oil revenue just to pay interest on the debt, not even capital, so, it is a really sad development,” he complained.

I was looking for something with a head to assure me that our Government had a back-up plan, like some international organisation enforcing the agreement to the letter, or us breaking diplomatic relations with them, or us sanctioning them, or us placing some penal measure on them.

I was no government representative, just someone on tour of duty with the military. Much as I felt sorry for these ones there was no way I could help them.

Let government review this situation and stop giving visas to girls going to those Arab and Asian countries, if it's just to be helpers.

Before the tariffs adjustment I was paying on average 35gh. With the increament it jump to 77.33gh. to my utter most dismay EGG brought my bill for march today and the total this reads 430: 79gh.it is me alone. Why is ECG behaving this way. I think there is more to this mistakes by the ECG than the eyes can see. BNI please do u work before those crooks clothed ECG colours finally bring this country on it needs
