According to a story on Ghanaweb, "The Eastern regional Secretary of Ghana Journalists Association, Maxwell Kudekor, entreated the Universities in Ghana to collaborate with the media to find solutions to national problems through researches.
He appealed to KTU to offer scholarship opportunities to Journalists to be train[ed] in various academic disciplines, especially Engineering, Environment and Technology to build capacity of journalists to help communicate effectively in these fields to support the industrial drive of the country."
It is time Ghanaian go back to learn from the British and Nigerians when it comes to journalism and this exonerates JB Dankwa's assertion that Ghana was not ripe for independence. Look, in Nigeria journalism is offered for only one year and you cannot use WASSCE Cert to enter their school of Journalism. Their entry requirement is a university degree, HND, Army School Cert, Police College Cert, Charted accountancy Cert, etc, and so by the time an individual completes the one year programme they already have their academic or professional background to work with. This diversifies the field of journalism and brings everybody on board. You see, Ghana is so backward in everything. Thanks to our useless university education that seeks to suppress polytechnic graduates at all cost.

Infact over the weekend, people hike from Ashaiman to Afienya, Doryumu and other places. Yes we hike in Ghana. For a lot of the people in the village, hiking is the main means of transportation then others. We call it AD11 but it's hiking.

Those of us from other countries have to be carrying our documents anytime we go out. Police and Immigration officials are all over the place searching any black suspected not to be a South African. Please, find a better and a safer place to go but not SA. Crime rate is too high. We pray for her safety.

The three of them went hiking. She decided to turn back half way whiles the daughter and husband carried on to the top and she txted him to say she will be waiting for him down cos she doesn't want to carry on climbing and that was the last they heard from her. Smoking kills but people still smoke. So people that are saying why did she go there cos it's not safe,well her husband lives there.

He even told her to txt them as soon as she gets there. No one is God and whether the husband should have taken her down or not what would have been the chances that they would have all been safe.
