Accra, Aug. 19, GNA - There was remarkable resurgence during Thursday's trading on the Accra bourse, which saw the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main market indicator, going up by 131.31 points from 6,497.10 points to 6,628.41 points.
The Change Year to Date also rose to 18.95 compared to 16.60 recorded during the previous trading session.
Traded volume closed the session at 323,011 shares valued at GH¢299,556.45. Of the 17 equities that sold shares, Cal Bank Limited led the pack with 55,600 of its shares valued at GH¢14,950.00 traded.
On the broader market, there were eight price changes, six positives and two negatives. Unilever Ghana Limited (UNIL) led the gainers with a share price increase of GH¢0.10 to close trading at GH¢4.25; Enterprise Insurance Company Limited (EIC) went up by GH¢0.08 to close trading at GH¢1.78; Ecobank Ghana Limited (EBG) and SIC Insurance Company Limited (SIC) went up by GH¢0.02 each to close trading at GH¢3.00 and GH¢0.37, respectively while Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) and Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) appreciated by GH¢0.01 each to close trading at GH¢0.15 and GH¢0.24, respectively.
African Champion Limited (ACI) and Produce Buying Company Limited (PBC) lost GH¢0.01 each to close trading at GH¢0.08 and GH¢0.16, respectively.
Market Capitalisation closed the session at GH¢18,453.48 million from 17.48 million issued shares.
