Accra, Dec. 8, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange, gained for the second straight session on Wednesday, going up by 40.12 points to 7,122.96 points from 7,082.84 points. The rise brings the gains so far this year to 27.83 per cent. There were five price changes during the session - three price appreciations and two losers.
Gainers were Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), which was up by GH¢0.10 to GH¢2.70; Fan Milk Limited (FML), which gained GH¢0.02 to GH¢10.57 a= nd Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), which rose by GH¢0.37 at GH¢45.50. On the flip side, Aluworks Limited (ALW) fell by GH¢0.01 to GH¢0= ..16 and Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL), dropped by GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.24. Ghana Commercial Bank was the most active stock during the session, accounting for more than two million shares. A total of 2.12 million shares were traded worth GH¢5.76 million. Market Capitalisation closed the session at GH¢20,092.16 million compared GH¢20,061.16 million at the previous close.
