We have to put them through the court system but until we strengthen those systems and folks have confidence in the system then we are going to have armed robbers kill their victims and a vigilante reaction from the mob. Now we are blaming the youth in from the area for so many things ,yes is true ,but we should not forget that criminals are robbing and terrorising innocent people in ghana now as am talking, on our roads,in our homes,at the farms whites we have these police who instead of flashing these criminals out they are on our roads taking bribes from drivers,and they're being paid every month.
You find soldiers guarding galamsey site s instead of protecting the country against foreign incation ,theythe same Chinese who are using ignorant Ghanaians to destroy their land.
I hope the soldiers or the police who have been deployed three also don't go there and take the law into their own hand,because if they do it will be another disaster for Ghana, but they should allow the investigators to do their work and found out the caused of this unfortunate death of the soldier.

Granted Captain Mahama was an armed robber (he wasn't), any civilized people will hand him over to the police. What is the penalty for that "armed robbery?"
The Government must tell it to the people, in a serious tone that nobody has the right to administer justice not even the President of the Republic, only the courts have that constitutional authority. Recently a woman was stripped naked in broad daylight in Kumasi for petty theft and nobody absolutely nobody could point it out that it is a barbaric act and a violation against human decency. A manager dips an employee's head in hot pepper sauce, instead of adequate on-the-job training.
All those involved in the killing of Captain Mahama must be arrested and tried in the courts.
We need civil education in Ghana. The FM stations can offer this service in collaboration with the appropraite government agencies. The print media and the Churches must drum this home. Instant justice is unacceptable in any form and so is mob action. Crimes occur in every society and there is penalty for every crime. The last time I checked there was no "instant justice" in Ghana's criminal code.
