Asamoah Gyan, Christian Atsu, Thomas Partey, Wakaso Mubarak and co have said they will play a friendly game against Asante Kotoko on Friday free of charge.
The national team was expected to encounter Sierra Leone today for an AFCON qualifier but that game has been cancelled after the Leone Stars failed to get a FIFA suspension lifted.
It was, however, in doubt whether Kwesi Appiah and his team would be paid any bonus monies for the friendly game against the Porcupine Warriors but the normalisation committee has issued certain information regarding the matter.
“As a sign of patriotism, the Black Stars players have indicated their willingness to show their love and appreciation for the fans and will play the Kotoko game free of charge,” a statement on the GFA website from the committee stated.
