National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP for Klottey Korle, Dr. Zanetor Rawlings, will be leading the party once again in the constituency in the 2020 parliamentary elections.
She won the primaries on Saturday with a total of 671 votes out of the 1,270 ballots cast. Her contenders Mr. Leeford Quarshie and Muhammad Armah had 336 and 260 votes respectively.
The daughter of former president JJ Rawlings expressed gratitude to the delegates for the confidence reposed in her yet again.
“I had a huge number and that shows I didn’t win by chance,” Dr. Rawlings said after being declared winner of the primaries.
She has called for unity within the party ahead of the 2020 elections.
