A three-month-old baby and its mother, as well as five men, died on Thursday, 26 December 2019 in an accident while travelling on the Kumasi-Accra highway.
Forty-seven other passengers involved in the accident which occurred between two big commercial buses have been conveyed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment.
The VVIP and OA buses had registration numbers GT 6082-18 and GT 4913-14, respectively.
The cause of the accident is not yet known.
Thursday’s accident followed a similar one on Christmas Day which involved a Mercedes Benz Sprinter bus that head-on collided with a minibus at Mankuma on the Bole-Sawla highway in the Savanna Region.
Five people were killed in that crash.
