2 police officers, a soldier, 2 drivers: Names of victims in presidential convoy accident

The presidential convoy on May 19, 2024, got involved in an accident that led to the death of a 50-year-old driver called Kwesi Attah.

According to the Police situational report, the accident occurred on 19th May 2024, at about 4.00 pm.

The deceased was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle which was part of the Presidential convoy from Kumasi to Accra.

On reaching a section of the road at Anyinasin near Akim Apedwa along the Kumasi – Accra Road, suspect driver Akwasi Atta overtook a tanker truck ahead of him and suddenly collided head-on with a Kia Rhino truck with registration number GE 2985-15 driven by suspect driver Richard Yeboah, the police report said.
