Rachel Appoh, the former Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, has rallied the constituents behind John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and Kwame Deen Yawson, the party's parliamentary candidate for the constituency.

Addressing a rally on Saturday, November 9, 2024, Rachel Appoh urged the constituents to vote massively for the NDC in the December 7 elections, as the NDC has good policies for them.

Rachel Appoh charged the party's supporters to go out and promote the party's good policies to the constituents.

The former Deputy Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection denied allegations that she does not support Kwame Deen Yawson. She endorsed him and urged her followers to vote for him on December 7.

Rachel Appoh clarified that John Mahama, the leader of the party, has unequivocally endorsed Kwame Deen Yawson, and that should be enough to dispel any doubt about Deen's acceptance within the party.

"You have immense love for the NDC, and I want to extend God's blessings to you for showing up. Bawumia has failed to deliver as promised, so I want you to go all out and promote the good policies of John Mahama.

"Let everyone in Gomoa know about the good works of John Mahama and the lies of Bawumia. They promised to arrest the dollar, but they couldn't. We are suffering because of the lies of the NPP.

"The time has come for you to vote out the NPP and vote for the NDC. Vote for John Mahama and Kwame Deen Yawson to restore hope and develop Gomoa. I fully support Kwame Deen, so ignore anyone who says I don't support him.

"President Mahama has also affirmed his support for Kwame Deen Yawson, so let's all campaign and support him. Anyone who says John Mahama doesn't support Kwame Deen Yawson is lying. He's number two on the ballot," she said.

On his part, Kwame Deen Yawson expressed his utmost gratitude to John Mahama for the endorsement.

He believes that the clarity brought by the NDC flagbearer will dispel any rumours that the hierarchy of the NDC is pushing a candidate other than him.

He also expressed his gratitude to Rachel Appoh and the constituents for the massive show of love and support and promised immense development should they vote for him and John Mahama in the December 7 elections.
