Acting chairman of the party, Freddie Blay
Dr Richard Amaoko Baah, an aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said his fellow aspirant and acting chairman of the party, Freddie Blay has bad leadership skills for which reason he must not be voted for as substantive chair in the party’s forthcoming national delegate’s conference in Koforidua on Saturday, 7 July.
According to Dr Amoako Baah, Mr Blay is a leader who wants to be worshipped by his subordinates, just as, in his view, Ghana’s first president Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
He told Chief Jerry Forson, host of Ghana Yensom on Accra 100.5FM Friday, 6 July that: “Freddie has adopted the attitude of Kwame Nkrumah because he came from the CPP to join the NPP.”
“Nkrumah wanted to be worshipped, and, indeed, he was worshipped by some people and that is what Blay is doing,” he added.
Dr Amoako Baah is contesting against Mr Blay and Mr Stephen Ayensu Ntim.
The NPP’s Director of Research and Elections, Evans Nimako, said preparations are far-advanced to ensure a successful internal polls.
He asked all the aspirants to conduct themselves in a decent manner and re-unite after the polls.
