  What can 24-hour economy do to Ghana looking at what we are going through now ? I'm surprised to see how people have come to accept this concept without critically analysing it. JDM is using this slogan to win power and nothing will come out of it and he will not mention it again during his tenure just late Prof Mills did to one term health insurance premium he promised to implement if voted as president. These politicians know that many Ghanaians are shallow minded so they feed voters with something which is not practicable but they become mute over it. Our politicians know that to build a resilient or strong economy, one needs to produce more, export more and import less. Again, one needs to refrain from exporting raw materials but add value to the materials. A country must build factories to absorb the youth who are coming out of the universities instead of continuing building universities. Government should cease building public universities as right now the private and the religious bodies have complimented government's efforts in that direction. It's because of this I that I admired president Nana Akufo Addo's 1D1F concept. It's laudable despite its challenges and I pray next presidents will build upon it to create employment but as for 24-hour economy, it's a day dreaming and beating about the bush approach that has been going on government after governments. It will never solve our economic crisis.
