There will certainly be consequences for their failure to sign this bill. It is because of pur poverty the reason this corrupt Western world want to push this down our throats?

Our traditional rulers have anti- LGBT +Bill already . If Parliament is introducing this bill to protect the Ghanaian culture, then then the bill should be referred to them to tell us the sort of punishment they have for such people. Prison sentences are too harsh in this case..Ghanaian cultures in general abhors homosexuality but our traditional rulers already have in place punishment in place..Jesus himself told those people who brought the adulterous woman to him that anyone who does not commit sin must throw the first stone. This does not mean that Jesus approves in any way of adultery Any punishment must be reformatory.!!!

It is really sad to hear some government officials telling Ghanaians that the country cannot survive without financial assistance from the IMF and other international lenders and for that matter Ghana should sacrifice its social ,cultural , moral and traditional values and beliefs in order to get this financial assistance. It is so pathetic that the ministry of finance should caution the President against signing the gender fragmentation law that was passed by parliament. Ghana as a sovereign nation is being threatened by their colonial masters if it does not accept LGBT rights and that the country will face sanctions and some foolish Ghanaians are supporting this interference by these countries into our own affairs.
Parliament has spoken on behalf of the greater majority of Ghanaians by passing the bill and the President has no other option than to sign it into law . If he fails to sign it, parliament will veto it and pass the law with majority votes.

It is a shame there is still neo-colonialism in existence among African nations. We cannot decide for ourselves without the white man dictating to us. We cannot even make laws that the white man deems not suitable to their taste irrespective of our cultural orientation. I thought with Akkufo-Addo's preaching about African nations asserting our independence, he would come out forcefully to denounce this interference from the white man and pledge to sign this into law. However, with his quintessential incompetence and indecisiveness, he is awal as usual. for once, we should tell these neo-colonialist to go to hell and really assert our independence. This time calls for real leadership, which we don't have.

There are no legal requirements binding countries to accept LGBTQi+ before they can do businesses with the IMF. In fact, no such thing has been on IMF's negotiation table. LGBTQi+ is not part of the aims and objectives of IMF, on any country required to assess their loan facilities. Nigeria, Morocco and other countries in Africa and other parts of the world after passing their anti LGBTQi+ bill have never been denied assessing the IMF loan facilities. This is just a plot by some Ghanaian officials to intentionally use IMF to blackmail Ghanaians to just create some fear and panic. Most of these people which includes the president, Gabby Okyere Darko, Ofori Atta and other members of this government have stashed unexplained and stolen monies into various accounts outside Ghana and if they don't help the West to succeed on this agenda, those monies shall be frozen and returned to the state. That is one of the major reasons behind why this NPP government is condoning to the dictates of the West. Parts of those monies are for their campaign.
