Don’t worry. Nobody wants Petroleum products to go up but there is nothing we can do about it. The prices are going to go up more. Russia’s oil infrastructure are being attacked by Ukraine. The Houthis are targeting all ships passing through the Red Sea. The Middle East is now boiling and is not going to be good for the Oil industry. The prices of everything is going to go up so just learn how to deal with it.
We complain of high fuel prices but many people in Ghana drive SUVs to work and drive alone without passengers. Until Joe Biden became the Vice President, he went to work with his Bike to the Train Station and then rode to office. How many of Ghana MPs will ride a Bike to take a Bus to work? We bite more than we can chew and we start to cry when we can’t swallow. With the president political climate in East Asia, and the Middle East, let us brace ourselves for higher prices of everything. I have a car but I don’t remember the last time I drove to work. I walk to the Bus stop which is about two miles from my house. Then I take it to the Train Station from where I walk to work. I t surprises me when I see only one person in an SUV driving to work, store or the funeral. Prices of things are not going to go down in Ghana and the World so let us live within our means.
We complain of high prices of fuel in Ghana. Have we considered why our Francophone neighbors and ZOOGERIANS come to Ghana to smuggle fuel into their countries?

What was the price under Kuffour? The price of petrol was GHC3.51 per gallon or GHP78 per litre in 2009.

When you left power in January 2017, a gallon of petrol was GHC 16.86 (approximately 450% increase). World crude oil was $45.00. From GHC 16.86 in January 2017 to current of GHC 63.00 per gallon at current world crude oil price of $87, this current administration has approximately 373%. With current world crude oil at $87.00 as against $45 in 2017, this present administration is doing far better in the rate of increase than the NDC administration. These are the facts that can be verified.

He should read outside law to know what is going on globally. Otherwise he will always compare oranges and apples which intellectuals shouldn't do. A smart analysis would look into how fuel prices has increased internationally verses Ghana in 2024 compare to that of 2016. If I were to mark Eduzie's analysis I will give him 10%. Better prices doesn't necessarily mean lower prices, it means what it is vs what it could be.
