To the best of my knowledge electoral registration violence has been there b4 we started the 4th Republic.I remember I was once nearly beaten in Christian Village/Anumle,Achimota in 1990 by some Ewes.Why bcoz they claimed I allowed Togolese Ewes to register as Ghanaians meanwhile there was no means for me to differentiate between the two of them bcoz they were living together.I later on got to know that they were fighting over a parcel of land which belongs to Ga ppl.
