Yes . Akuffo Addo destroyed the party . He wanted to take the leadership role from the Asantes . He thinks his relatives founded the party and so the Akyems should be at the forefront of the party and not the Asantes. Why was Hon Kyei Mensah Bonsu relieved of the majority leader post and given to Afenyo -Markins ? Why was Alan Kyeremanten not selected to stand as the presidential candidate but Bawumia who had not been a well known member as Alan be chosen as the presidential nominee for the party? This was Akuffo Addo’s plan to dismantle the status quo . Surprising Kuffuor allowed this to happen to the party. If Allan had been the presidential candidate, Mahama would have had it tougher to beat him despite the fact that Akuffo Addo has left a bad taste for party . The party needs to re-group and chose the right people to lead the party . But for now the party will not come back to power for a long time if NDC do what Ghanaians want from their leaders.
