In other words, WE SHOULD NOT GIVE OR PLACE A GOALKEEPER IN A STRIKER ROLE BECAUSE OF "efficiency" —==>> 1) preventing the wasteful use of a particular resource, 2) working in a well-organized and competent way, 3) achieving maximum productivity with minimum wasted effort.

Basintale's issue is not unique when it comes to the running of YEA but he's at a disadvantage because of legacy staff in director/management positions driven by NPP agenda of making sure the NDC has no better record than they've had under Frimpong Koduah and all the others from 2017 through 2024. There are NPP operatives in management posts at YEA who are hell bent on the status quo and not interested in helping Basintale succeed period.

What exactly should the YEA mandate be? An employment agency has 3 tasks: (1) offer employment training, mostly blue collar jobs or artisan jobs (2) retraining of workers who have lost their jobs and willing to retrain for other trades or acquire more training skills and (3) staff members work with unemployed youth to arrange job interviews, interview coaches to help prepare youth for job interviews whi oto network with both private and government departments in need of manpower labour

The YEA is current setup to provide temporary job for the youth until the next government administration or the next YEA CEO comes in with handpicked people as directors to redirect priorities. In the meantime, a few old staff who are nothing more than "yes men" continue to make money providing temporary jobs for the ruling party youths while others work against the interests of the ruling government.

An investigative journalists should ask YEA to provide youth job numbers for the youth who have come through the YEA doors since 2009 with breakdown figures for youth who have been with government or private agencies for 15-years, 10-years or 5-years and etc. Additional ask YEA to provide data that will show follow-up placement data that studied the wellbeing of YEA beneficiaries since the YEA is proud of its achievements.

Why is Zoomlion, private entity providing work for youth and adults, to be paid by government? If the YEA is not capable of managing Youth employment nationally then why do we have YEA operations at the regional and district levels? A government agency that is serious about providing long-term employment for the youth should provide skills that yield adequate financial support to sustain families. Long term employment requires product work from the employed youth and sustained work that provide communities and entities with services in demand.

YEA therefore need restructuring and new team of directors and managers; the current breed of so-called directors are cashing in more than providing employment support for the youth. By the way has the government seriously conducted the pros and con of the YEA's employment abroad initiative relative to liabilities? If the Ghana government is going to ship Ghanaians outside Ghana as labour force then should the government not be responsible for any events that harms the wellbeing of the youth we ship outside for their labour?
