it's rather unfortunate that most Ghanaians are walking just as blind and ignorant as they're while good things are happening around them each day but they prefer the lies and delusions of the NPP. 90% of the jobs created under NADCo, Planting for food, YEA, 1D1F, and all the hastily created jobs under NPP were temporary and nothing more but a gimmick to buy votes to keep the NPP in power.

The fate of those jobs is the same as free SHS, school feeding and etc when they are not fully funded in yearly budgets. What the Mahama government is doing is laying the groundwork and structures that will sustain businesses and grow employment opportunities. Factories, new or existing ones, need sustained electricity to grow; they need roads to transport goods and services while workers need roads to go to and back from work. We need a stable cedi with a reasonable exchange rate for economic growth.

As all the infrastructures including buildings are ready by 2027 businesses will start hiring people for permanent jobs not the 3-year temporary jobs of NADCo, planting for food, YEA and all the temporary nonsense that does not help the people to establish better retirement with SSNIT. What Ghana need is realities not delusional promises from a party whose big men run out of the country because of the crimes they commit while in office.

Nii, if you want to see what he has been able to achieve employment wise, just get out and care to see the number of people selling dog-chains, car wipers, etc. and ask yourself the question, where have all the guys selling dog-chains in the traffic and on the road-side pavements gone to? The answer would shock you, most of them have found better jobs during Mahama's First Term in office as opposed to Akuffo-Addo's administration when University graduates could not find employment and some had to resort to doing menial jobs like selling dog-chains to make a living. Maybe, you do not see and do not appreciate the hard work Mahama is doing to solve unemployment, those who have been lucky to find good jobs, do appreciate him and his efforts.

Mr. Minority Leader, in your end-of-Year (2025) Parliamentary address, you stated that the public stampede that sadly occurred at the El-Wark Barracks was the result of NDC's Policy failure. I take issue with that characterization. Sir, if not that you are blinded by the idea to criticize Mahama and his Administration at all times no matter what, you would have concluded that what happened at the El-Wark was implementation failure and not Policy failure. After all, his Policy was to recruit people for the Military and that was exactly what the Military Officers were doing on that cataclysmic and eventful day. Unfortunately, as everyone saw it, it was the hiring process that got out of hand and resulted in some job seekers losing their lives. I say it again, what happened that day was not a policy failure, rather, it was implementation of a policy failure.
