Gold Coast was not dealing in slave trade in the 15th century before the arrival of the Portuguese in 1471.
The slave trade intensified after Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas in 1492,10 solid years after the Portuguese have built the Elmina Castle.
When the Portuguese and Spanish arrived in South America followed by the Dutch and English who wanted to conquer and settle there.
They needed sugar,cotton,tobbaco,gold etc in Europe that were growing in both South and North America.
The European authorities agreed upon themselves to use African workers because of their strength,immunity to some tropical diseases and other considerations that they were not getting from the inhabitants.
By all standards,Afenyo should understand that it was the Europeans who introduced slave trade in the Africa and there's no evidence that any African went to Europe or America to buy slaves or impose laws on them.
Therefore,who the cap fit let them wear it.Tnx.
