Afenyo-Markin is not complaining about the refusal of the bail. Not at all. He has developed a demi-god mentality where he thinks everybody should grovel at his feet and do his bidding. He therefore feels humiliated when a bail is refused him and see that as a slap on his ego. He knows as a practising lawyer that bail is discretionary and that it does not matter if the prosecution is not opposed to it. He is being simply unprofessional and a maverick lawyer by just throwing this judge who is only doing the work of a judge under the bus, and it will not wash.

i rather think that his copious praise of the police prosecutor who is a lawyer rather gives me discomfort, which could be the case that Afenyo-Markin might have had some undue influence on him. Judges can see through this illicit out of court manoeuvres and can choose to give it a beautiful burst.

Afenyo-Markin is becoming a huge embarrassment to himself , his profession as a lawyer and a member of parliament. what is his special interest in the matter of this Brong East party person to the extent of standing as a surety for him at the police enquiry bail and representing him as a lawyer. It should be done through the Labor Department so that the authenticity of such recruiters can be ascertained and monitored. Can such advertisers go to Western Europe, USA and Canada with such scams? They would have been tracked and be languishing in Jail or Prison by now. Mahama, wake up.
Unfortunately, some Ghanaians will play stupid and fall prey to such scammers even if the Government warns them not to engage with such people as Akuffo Addo tried sometime ago. Ghanaians used his ethnicity and height to denigrate him. And when they secretly went to such Arab countries for jobs that didn’t exist and were enslaved and the women sold to Prostitution Rings, those who went and their parents and family members were crying wolf claiming they have been abandoned.
The Government should educate Ghanaians through the media and churches and mosques as well as community meetings that Russia has no such jobs and that the men who go will be sent to go and die in the Russian war with Ukraine which many Russians are fleeing. A word to the wise…

Again Russian language is very difficult for any illiterate to learn and it's also difficult to learn it on the street.I will advise Ghanaians not to push themselves into that environment. If you're young educated and prepared to go into the classroom for about a year to learn the language then fine, you can travel there to work.
