I have lost respect for Lawyer Andy on this withdrawal issue. According to Lawyer Andy , the Judge was pressuring him to finish the case and feels an outsider influence in the case. But why can’t Lawyer Andy wait for the judgement and if it goes against his client, apply for bail and appeal it at Appeals court. 2. Lawyer Andy says he is withdrawing from the case but still filling appeal to the no submission of no case earlier after the prosecutor finished his case at the appeal court. If he is still the lawyer for that appeal, then isn’t it the same case. 3. With all Lawyer Andy has listed and to file motion on Monday, is Lawyer Andy still not doing another case with same Judge ( Tano Nimirim forest) but in a different court room ? . I think this emotional blackmail is for delay tactics till NPP Executive election is over. Wontumi actually entered national chairmanship because of his court cases.

If we're following real events and not what the journalists, politicians and party foot soldiers are saying, we can see that the times and the problems that face us are in fact the result of the same corrupt cycles that are repeated throughout the administrations of both NDC and NPP.
Life in Ghana is based on the assumption that whatever is the source of "prosperity" we subscribe to it. We have evolved into what we are today. Unfortunately, few of us believe that our rivers can return to the clear water they used to be. We are so in lust with corruption and greediness that when we see the muddy colors of our rivers we turn aside without any little sense about what we have gotten ourselves into..
How can we look at the color of our rivers and not be concerned to uproot the source of galamsey? Anybody with half brain knows that we are in an abyss mess. How can our government and the people accept such reality of heinous evil? Have we all overtime conceived a heart so callous there is no feeling of concern? Do we have a mind so dull and destitute of understanding the evil situation we have created? How do we save ourselves? Do not count on the priests to rescue us, they're equally corrupt and greedy.

This withdrawal by the defence lawyer is of no effect because the hearing of the case in court has ended. All the lawyers for the prosecution and the defence have finished their work and there's nothing left for them to do. Only the judge has an assignment to carry out concerning this Wontumi case and that is, the giving of the court's ruling on July 3. There's therefore nothing like withdrawing for lawyer Appiah Kubi when he has already carried out all the task required of him to the very end.
