NDC executives in Awutu Senya East have called for peace between Naa Koryoo (L) and Agyare (R)
Female executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Awutu Senya East Constituency have called for unity and reconciliation among divided party leaders, warning that internal tensions could undermine the party’s future electoral success.
Speaking to Channel One TV during a visit to the Constituency Chairman, Stephen Ofosu Agyare, on June 25, 2026, the women expressed concern over ongoing disagreements within the party.

“We are here because of the hullabaloo in our constituency. You can see me dressed in black throughout because we are mourning. Every woman’s heart is dark because when you are in a house and you see your father and mother fighting, it is painful for the children,” one of the women said.
The group reaffirmed their loyalty to the constituency leadership, praising Chairman Ofosu Agyare for his role in securing the parliamentary seat for the party.
“We are here to pay solidarity to our father and let him know that we love him. Rain or shine, we are with him. He is the one who made us who we are today,” she stated.
They also urged the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, to make peace with the constituency chairman.
“We are pleading with our mother as well that we want peace and unity in the constituency so that we can all grow together and fight the next battle ahead of us. Winning elections is not the end of the NDC in Awutu Senya East,” another said.
The concerns follow reports of a deepening division within the constituency leadership.
According to reports, the rift stems from a feud between the MP and the constituency chairman.
An NDC executive in the constituency, identified as the MP’s spokesperson, recently alleged that tensions between the two leaders are linked to a disagreement over a failed marriage proposal.
