The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ellembelle Constituency has cleared its incumbent Constituency Chairman, Sampson Ndoli, popularly known as "Chairman One Man", to contest for re-election.

Ndoli received the green light after successfully undergoing vetting at Nkroful on Wednesday. Following his clearance, he picked the number two position on the ballot paper ahead of the upcoming constituency executive elections.

Ndoli will face competition from three other aspirants: Jacob Kwofie of Esiama, Iddrisu Ackah of Kangbumli, and Lord Armah of Nzema Aiyinasi.

Launching his campaign over the weekend, Ndoli appealed to delegates to renew his mandate for another four years to enable him continue leading the party in the constituency.

He pledged to unite the party by bringing together all unsuccessful aspirants after the election to help the NPP win the Ellembelle parliamentary seat for the first time in the constituency's history.

He also urged delegates to vote for his preferred slate of constituency executives to strengthen the party's chances of capturing the seat in the 2028 general elections.

"I believe in hardworking people, and I am contesting this election alongside ten other hardworking aspirants. I appeal to delegates to vote for Bernard Cobbinah as Constituency Organiser, Banabas Ewereko as Second Vice Chairman, Sobo Eshun as Communications Officer, Abdul Karim Robert as Nasara Coordinator, Hamza Pennah as Youth Organiser, John Ackah as First Vice Chairman, Evans Tanoel Ackah as Assistant Secretary, Martin Attiah as Secretary, Rahmata Salifu as Women's Organiser, and Philip Nda as Treasurer.

"These people were strategically selected, and I appeal to delegates to elect them," he said.

Ndoli also commended former NPP National Chairman and former Ellembelle MP Freddie Blay, former Ellembelle Constituency Organiser Stephen Donkor, and former Constituency Chairman Samuel Akainyah, popularly known as Chairman Atito, for their support and guidance throughout his campaign.

"With unity, we will win the Ellembelle parliamentary seat in 2028 and also secure victory for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the presidential election. Let us come together and work harder to return the NPP to power in 2028," he added.

Ndoli was first elected as NPP Constituency Chairman for Ellembelle in 2018 after defeating the then-incumbent Chairman, Samuel Akainyah. He is now seeking a fresh mandate to continue leading the party in the constituency.

In recent weeks, Ndoli has embarked on a "Thank You Tour" on behalf of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia across the constituency. During the tour, he urged party members to remain united, stressing that "without unity, it will be impossible for us to recapture political power from the NDC in 2028."

As part of the tour, he donated items to the Kangbumli Islamic Community and the Church of Pentecost in Esiama, while calling for prayers for Dr Bawumia's protection ahead of the 2028 general elections.

The NPP is currently conducting nationwide internal elections. Nominations for constituency executive positions were opened from Monday, June 22, to Wednesday, June 24, 2026, with vetting, elections, and the swearing-in of successful candidates scheduled around the July 11 polls.

Delegates in the Ellembelle Constituency are expected to cast their ballots on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
