Mandela’s incarceration strengthened the South African majority black and colored peoples fortitude to stand firm in their fight against the White minority rule and the evil practices of apartheid. Here, it depends on how the NPP leadership will approach the situation. Though I’m yet to hear any of them make any tangible presentations that Wontumi’s incarceration is purely a political persecution instead of what the government through his Attorney seemingly subterfuge and campaign of calumny against Chairman Wontumi’s mining business practices.

Wontumi is the Ashanti Regional party chairman who is supervising the decline of the party in Ashanti Region. NDC had only 3 or 4 seats in Ashanti Region, Wontumi guided NPP to lose 10 seats in the current parliament. That's NPPs hero. The current NPP top men and women do not deserve
to be in office because they guided NPP in losing seats from 137 to 87. In a serious party they would have resigned.
